Life is too short not to do what you
love....
That would best describe how Interiors ReNewed came about.
Laura’s background is diverse yet interwoven. She holds a Civil
Engineering degree with a structures and construction option from
Michigan Technological University, a secondary teaching degree
from Saginaw Valley State University as well as Masters level
classes in design. Prior to formalizing her love of interiors she
worked for General Motors Corporation as an engineer and a buyer
for a decade. In addition, she taught high school algebra.
Throughout these careers, she continued to create beautiful
interiors at the request of relatives and friends.
The discovery of I.R.I.S. through the
HGTV show Decorating Cents caused her to further
investigate training in the Interior Redesign field. She completed
this training during the winter of 2003 in Chicago, Illinois. She
has been an active member of I.R.I.S. since 2003 and continues to
further her design education both locally and through their
national conferences.
She is passionate about creating warm,
welcoming and inviting spaces for her clients, both
private home owners and corporate clients, using their own
possessions which is proven by her word of mouth and referral
business on a daily basis. She is a member of Interior Redesign
Industry Specialists (I.R.I.S.) as seen weekly on HGTV and an
affiliate member of the Interior Design Society. In addition, she
is a weekly instructor of design at various locations throughout
mid-Michigan including: Midland, Saginaw Township, Freeland and
Frankenmuth and a keynote speaker at a variety of local events.
